Project 8

I began this pattern with three simple notes that are played throughout the whole song that i created on 3xOsc. During the song i added other loops that i made on other channels, mostly piano parts from FL Keys. By the end of the song I added time and volume slots from Gross Beat. For my half-time beat, I used kick hat and snare drums.

Project7

For this project I used two saw synths and two sine synths. The main pattern that the loop begins with is a saw synth that I created using Sytrus. This pattern plays throughout the whole loop. In the first measure I added a volume envelope and made the volume slowly increase. In the second measure I added a second saw synth and my first sine synth. In my second saw synth I added both a volume envelope and a pitch envelope to alter its sounds. My third measure included the same patterns from the second measure but added a kick drum pattern. My final measure consisted solely of my first main pattern plus a second sine synth. In my second sine synth I added another volume and pitch envelope. In this measure, I slowly decreased the tempo and volume simultaneously to conclude my loop.

Project 6

In this project I began by using a riff from PoiZone. After that, I made my own pattern on PoiZone. This pattern plays after every fourth measure for four measures. Then I added snare, clap, and kick drum patterns. I added another clip I made on PoiZone that plays throughout the loop and accents the beats from my first pattern. I added cutoff envelopes to my PoiZone patterns.

project5

I began this project with a clip i made using PoiZone's piano roll. After the fourth measure of that pattern, i added three different effects from PoiZone. The effects were the oscillator b detune envelope, the oscillator b pitch envelope, and the oscillator balance envelope. I used these three effects simultaneously to give the it the effect of being scratched by a DJ. Then i added a beat that is similar to the first one and plays every third beat of the first pattern. At the same time, there is a drum beat that hits every beat. After the drum beat ends, I added FX-Toilings to give the loop a mysterious sound and faded the loop out at the end. My inspiration for this loop is from the movie Project X, which has an amazing sound track filled with dance beats.

Project 4

I began my project with a guitar beat from slayer. I repeated the loop three times, which is the length of my project. Next, I made a kick drum pattern and added it throughout the project. I then used the cut off frequency found in the fruity filter on my guitar loop. After this, I used 3xOsc on my drum loop.

Project 2

I began my project with a cool techno beat that caught my attention right away. I used this beat throughout the entirety of my project. Next, I added a steady drum beat. I did this by using the piano roll and chopping one long sound into multiple shorter sounds. Then I added a piano clip that i felt went well with the techno beat. I played the entire piano beat twice then ended it, but continued with the drums and techno. After one more repetition of the drums, I ended that as well and finished the song with the techno beat that I began with.

Project 3

I first started my loop with a drum pattern from FPC. I chose it because it was a simple beat that i could match with many other sounds. I also added a kick and snare drum pattern. I next chose a piano pattern from SimSynth. I felt that this pattern went together with my drum beat. After I put the two beats together, I used SimSynth to change the sounds. I used the SVF emphasis tool on the first half of the loop. For the second half, I used the SVF cut tool. I also changed the volume level throughout the loop. For the first half, i kept the volume steady. When the secon half of the loop began, I had the volume gradually go down until there was no volume at all.

Project 1

For my project, I started the loop simple by using two different kick drum patterns. In the middle, I picked up the beat by throwing in a lot of different sounds and patterns. For this I used the same kick drums as pattern one to keep the same beat. I added the other drum beats to make the rhythm more upbeat. The last pattern i used was not as busy as the second pattern but had more going on than the first pattern. I used a simple pattern again and kept the same beat throughout the entire loop. To close everything, I repeated portions of the second and last patterns.
